Our regions are broken down into six regions:

Worldwide: USA, Hawaii, Canada, Africa, Japan, South America, Middle East.
Europe: All European destinations such as, Italy, France, Spain and UK.
Asia: All Asian Countries, excluding Japan and Bali.
Pacific: South-west Pacific, Papua New Guinea, Bali and Norfolk Island.
Australia: All Australia only travel.
New Zealand: New Zealand domestic travel.
Please Note: If you are travelling to multiple destinations which are in different regions, you must select the highest region (Worldwide being the highest region, New Zealand the lowest), as this will cover travel in each of the lower regions. Note: Two nights stopover in a higher region outside your selected region is permitted.

Under Comprehensive (Plan A) and Essentials (Plan B), you may reduce your premium by increasing the standard excess or you may remove the standard excess by paying an additional premium.
Please note, if you have opted to increase your excess to $500, potential claims under Travel Documents/Credit Cards & Travellers Cheques (Sections 9), Theft of Cash (Section 10), and Luggage & Personal Effects Delay Expenses (if you choose Essentials – Plan B) (Section 12) could be nullified.

^ Single cover. Accompanying spouse/legally recognised de facto and Dependants are covered under your policy provided they are travelling with you for 100% of the Journey. Additional premiums may apply. Provides cover for an unlimited number of Journeys. Maximum period for any one Journey is 37 days for leisure travel or 90 days for business travel. A Journey can be made up of business and/or leisure travel (with the leisure component being up to 37 days), however the whole Journey cannot exceed a total of 90 days.
# Individual cover only. You must nominate the benefit limit for this policy section from the following amounts: $500, $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500 or $3,000. The amount you select will apply to Cancellation Fees & Lost Deposits and Luggage and Personal Effects – Depreciation Applied. For example, if the total value of your travel and accommodation expenses is $1,900 and your Luggage & Personal Effects are valued at $1,200, choose $2,000 as your benefit limit. The most we will pay for all claims made under this section is the amount nominated by you (as shown on your Certificate of Insurance).

Allianz Australia Insurance Limited has an AA- insurer financial strength rating given by Standard & Poor’s (Australia) Pty Limited.
